The deffinition of a Purebred Dog is a dog that is registerable with the Canadian or American Kennel Club.
What makes a dog registerable?
For a dog to be registered as purebred you must be able to trace it's family tree back three or four generations with ALL animals in your dog's ancestory being registered as purebred.
