Virtual Dog Show Rules
The Entry Button is at the bottom of the page.
Each show will run for one (1) calendar month.
Each show begins the first day of each month.
Who can enter?
Entries are open worldwide.
Anyone can enter a dog in the show.
The only restriction is that the dog must be of a recognized breed.
(Not sure if your dog qualifies? Check the dropdown menu at the top of the page for a list of recognized breeds.)
How do I show my dog?
Once you have entered your dog in the show you will be able to upload a short video clip or a picture that will be used to judge your dog.
How is the show judged?
Judging is accomplished by voting.
Anyone can vote!
A voter must be registered with the site.
Registration to vote is free.
Only one (1) vote per month per user.
Prizes and awards.
The dog with the most votes at the end of the month will be awarded Best in Show and will receive ten percent (10%) of the gross take for the entire show. (ex: if there are 400 dogs entered in the show at $5.00 per dog the BIS will receive $200.00)
The dog with the most votes in each individual Group will be awarded Group 1 and five percent (5%) of the gross take for that particular Group. (ex: number of dogs in Group multiplied by 5 and then multiplied by .05 will equal the prize payout for the Group.)
In the event of a tie the deciding vote will be cast by site admin.
Point Schedule and Virtual Championship Certificates
1 dog beaten = 1 point
3 to 5 dogs beaten = 2 points
6 to 9 dogs beaten = 3 points
10 to 12 dogs beaten = 4 points
13+ dogs beaten = 5 points
Group winnings:
1st = 5 points
2nd = 4 points
3rd = 3 points
4th = 2 points
added to breed win points to a max of 5 points per show.
A Virtual Championship (VCH) title will be awarded once an individual dog has earned a total of fifteen (15) points and will be recognized by a VCH Certificate mailed to the owner and listed on the site.
Top dog points will also be tracked for the entire calendar year. Award is yet to be decided.
How do I track my dog's points?
You can track your dog's points in your profile.
The site will keep track of Championship points and Top Dog points and post them in your user profile.
Site admin will be notified when a dog accrues the 15 points needed for a Virtual Championship and a VCH certificate will be mailed out to the address in the owner's profile.
Entry Fee
The entry fee is $5.00 per dog per show.
There are no refunds!
